Fairy is the only class that hasn't the aoe killing skill in the game; Many people complain about fairy's weak ability to grind and level up fast, but in my opinion, there are still many advantages in the fairy class and may help to level your fairy character faster, so there're something that I want to share with you.
1. "Have a fairy’s heart."
We all know that fairy is a popular class due to their helpful heals and buffs. As a fairy of over one year's game play, I've always like to buff the players. Actually, I find it very easy to meet friends and find a team for reputation quests or caves if you are a kind Sun Needle giver. Believe in this and you'll have lots of pals on your friend list!
2. Party for quests and caves as much as possible.
We know it's slow to kill on fairy, but if you team up with tanker/damager, it would be quite fast to finish the quests. You can heal the attacker while doing damages with pearls/wheels. Also the Leeching Needle skill on the assistant Wonder Needle is quite helpful, it damages the monsters and increase all your teammates hp a little. However, remember that Leeching Needle would take some aggro on you so make sure you don't leech among group of mobs, because it would make you in danger for getting the mobs around all attacking you.
Also, fairy is very needed in cave fun. Even for some paid runs like 3g for LW etc, you don't need to pay for the spot if you are a fairy. It would be much easier for fairy to go to high level caves like SSS or SSC at respectively lower level. As to me, I went to SSS when I was only level 59. :P
3. Pearls or Wheels?
That's a question many people ask. Most of the fairies I know are wheel users. Wheels are good for duels for its stuns and shorter preparing time. With full PVP set, the preparing time could be decreased to 1.5 seconds. I didn't know that when I started my fairy and then I am a pearl fairy now. Still I like my pearls for its appearance and poison damage. It's true that pearls can't stun and have longer preparing time, but if you are in team with a shovel monk, it would help to kill faster when you keep using the Golden Lotus skill. The monk's Buddha damage would be increased with your golden lotus kill on the boss. If you are questing or dueling with pearls, purple cloud would be useful to compensate for the stun lacking on pearls a bit. So pearls for PVE and wheels for PVP is my conclusion.
4. Be a qualified healer.
To be a fairy SEEMS easy, but it’s not always that easy when you are in a hard cave. You need to know when to use the heal and cure while watching on aggro. Only shield the tanker when there are many mobs on him/her, cuz shield has the lowest aggro among all the other skills. DON't cure the player who just starts to aoe group of mobs, the aggro will turn to you and you'll die easily. Purple Crystal yourself when the skill is usable, you never know how it would help when you're the only one alive and got revived by yourself. :P To be a fairy is to balance mobs aggro and your heals to tanker & damagers. To keep the whole team alive, you need to be alive yourself first.
5. Probably a good tanker too.
If you have enough defense and hp, a fairy can be good tanker as well! All fairy team will be fun! Some fairy with great gear could solo BC last boss. And it's hard to win over a skillful wheel fairy. The only drawback as a fairy tanker is her lack of aoe killing skills.
That's all I can think of about fairy now. I really love to play fairy because I meet lots of friends and have loads of great memories in caves. Hope this post will help you a bit if you are playing fairy.
