Re: The Adventure !
(my essay is too long for one post...so here's the rest...:( )
- 2 days later -
I was talking to some friends, with a drink and some food, when a new MSN window appeared. It was as if it slapped me in the face.
"What? You didn't do anything on Talisman Online? I told you to level you character !!" oops, this sounds like trouble. I tried to explain him that I couldn't find that guy I needed to report something to, but he only said I was too retarded to find it "Log in" he said "I'm gonna show you, it's very easy" Wow, I'm feeling so happy now...
I told him I didn't want to play, but he seemed dissapointed. I told him I didn't understand anything and he told me it was because I didn't want to. Ok, maybe that was right, and actually I was happy he told me that, at least I had an excuse for being a noob ('noob' is a word I've just learnt while playing Talisman Online - after hearing it a few times, I asked what it meant). I was feeling bad about this whole Talisman Online thing, and that's why I finaly logged on again, and this time, I knew it was going to be different. I decided to create a new character, a fairy this time (I found out they could heal and that sounded very interesting, despite the pink short dress), and I played, without my brother knowing. I wanted to surprise him, and I decided that I was going to understand that bloody game, and show him that I tried to like it before saying Talisman Online was a bad game.
The little fairy was doing well, I discovered the quest aid, and the explanations for everything I didn't know. I've got to admit that it helped me a lot. Everytime, something new caught my attention, the apprenticeship system, the different weapons, the caves, the quests, the differents parts of the map, the stalls, ... And everytime, it made me curious about the rest. Instead of showing me the game was horrible, it showed me it was interesting, and I started to like it.
I was very proud when I told my brother I finaly understood the game a little, but his answer was "Oh, great. I'm gonna stop playing by the way, so...good luck !"
Damn him.
- One year and a few month later -
I'm bored at home, alone in my room. I'll play TO, there's always a thing to do there...Today, I feel like creating a new character...
Monk : Oh, no...I made already 3 monks and I don't really like that profession.
Assassin : I already have a few of them !
Fairy : My main is a fairy, I already know everything about them (uh...let's pretend I do)
Tamer : I have one too, not at the max level, but there's no use of making one more.
Wizard : My wizard is at the max level, and I tested both weapons already.
Oh...well, I guess I won't create a character now...But what am I going to do?
BUZZ!!!!!!! and my msn messenger window pops up.
"Come on tally fast, FP spam !" I read the 3 first words and I'm already starting the game. Yes, it's still the same person writing. Now I know how to enhance, how to accept quests, how to heal and I even how to speak in the different chats (unbelievable, isn't it?). I log my fairy - the same fairy I made long ago to be sure Talisman Online was a stupid game - and play with some of the nice people I met in game.
Suddenly, I get a PM "I think I just leveled, what now?" I smile, and explain what enhancing is with a lot of patience (Don't worry, even I understand it !).
To be honest, I've been a little weird for my friend to play Talisman Online...
Xia from SW (this is a true story...)
P.S. : I'm sorry for the mistakes I make, I'm not English, and I don't live in an English speaking country x.X
