Hello everyone!

When my friends at school started playing TalismanOnline, I thought that it was just another boring game like DragonFable and AdventureQuest.
However, when I questioned them about TalismanOnline, they said that it was ’entertaining’, ’cool graphics’ and had ’a really great storyline’. Back then I still played games like RuneScape, Atlantica Online and Maple Story. I used to say, ’what’s so good about Talisman anyway? Come on, let’s just play RuneScape or Maple Story!’, but they would say ’sorry, I’ll be on TalismanOnline’. So, much out of curiosity and the burning desire to play with my friends online again, I downloaded the installation file and started playing.
I see now that I was really biased in the decision to criticise a game without even playing it first-hand. The graphics were like WoW (World of Warcraft) and the gameplay was still enough like RuneScape to enjoy. But it was the feeling of being included in the MMORPG’s again that really fueled my desire to continue playing Talisman. Picking a job is a hard job. Being a specific job is somewhat important for a team tackling scenarios or training on mobs. As my friends needed a high-damge attacker, I could be a Wizard or Assassin. I always liked Harry Potter, so I chose to be a Wizard. I think that every job in TalismanOnline is important as it is the TEAMWORK that counts and not personal gain. Well, maybe anyway. Leveling up has a specific purpose for me. I can level up and have a specific Defense Talisman or Attack Talisman to wield so I can wear a specially bought Battle Robe I was saving up for the moment. Leveling up also helps my friends in scenarios and quests. It is the thought that counts.
I went on with my adventures in TalismanOnline and chatted with my friends as if we were back at school again. Better yet, we can go exploring in the West Land and do stuff that we cannot do in real life and enjoy it e.g. shoot fire out of flying swords and create a ice cage to hold your opponent.
Now we move on to my other half of my personal experience with TalismanOnline. When my friends first started playing and I was being the Devil’s Advocate, the TalismanOnline Fairy was still there. So having went on TalismanOnline so late, I missed out on the wonderful opportunity of owning a TO Egg. It just goes to show that ’first come, first serve’ saying isn’t merely just for show. Joining late has only cons as, naturally being the lowest level I can, I cannot go to where my friends, who each have high-level characters, train and so miss out on grand opportunities to train with them in a team. However I caught up quickly and joined them soon enough, going to my first scenario, marveling at the speed they killed stuff and their efficiency in finishing.
As I progressed through my levels, I slowly and gradually lost my friends to another game, Maple Story, but the desire to play Maple Story isn’t enough to overcome my passion for Talisman. It just goes to show that first impressions change over time and even though my best best friend stopped playing Talisman, I still wanted to play simply because I love the land that makes up the game. I have made new friends on TalismanOnline, who are very nice and do scenarios whenever they (or I) can do them (although I sometimes disconnect halfway because of network problems or dinner). Some people made me a friend simply because I helped them in quests and/or saved them from mobs who were killing them. I think TalismanOnline has become part of my life now and, because some of my friends started Talisman because I recommended it, I will have many happy days on TalismanOnline yet.
