My essay is nothing special or imaginative as alot of these are. But I figured I would tell my story as to how I started playing TO.
A while back I used to play FlyFF (fly for fun) with my best friend that I went to school with. After a while we got my boyfriend into playing also. We made some awesome friends on that game to. Now my friend would have loved TO. She was very much into games like TO. And my friend was the type that if you needed something she would be more than happy to help you. To say the least I loved her very much, she was the sister I never had. Now you all maybe wondering 2 things 1.) Why am I talking about another game when this is suppose to be about TO and 2.) Why am I talking about my friend in the past tense or atleast that the way its sounds. Well I can’t answer 1 just yet but number 2 is because about a year ago my friend passed away from a heart condition. It was very sudden and Very upsetting. To have someone who would literally give the shirt off their backs if you needed it pass away like that it was just well heart breaking. After that I couldn’t play flyff anymore, it just wasn’t the same. I was pretty devastated, so playing that game in all honesty reminded me too much of her and I had to stop playing.
So a year passed and I tried to play other games, like Rappelz or Chaos things like that. But nothing held an interest to me for very long. (Now I will explain number 1) Then my boyfriends aunts husband told me and my boyfriend about a game called Talisman. Well at first I didn’t really want to try it. I mean other games really didn’t interest me so why would this one and plus it just wasn’t the same anymore with out my friend there to try this game with me. But then I saw my boyfriends aunt playing the game. I got curious and a little excited because at the time you could still get Lavander tigers and I have a big love for white tigers. (they look more white than lavander to me). So I said what the heck, and I gave this game a try. And I fell in love with it. The game play was awesom, the quests not to hard to start out with. And some of the places you can go just looked great. There is a waterfall that my boyfriend showed me that just well almost took my breath away. Plus being able to ride a tiger was a big plus also. And this game helped me forget even just for a little while that my friend was gone. To sound kind of corney it helped me move on and instead of being sad and moody all the time I was actually having some fun. I have met some great people on here and I have met some people who are just plain greedy, but you’ll have that. After watching me play for a while my boyfriend decided to start playing and got addicted and now he has a lvl 66 sin, while my highest character is a 39. And to think I started playing before him. lol
Now that I am working a job were I work swing shifts all the time I don’t play as much as I like. But I always try to make a little time to come on Talisman and chat with my friends, or make magicstones, or try to lvl so I can make higher lvl magicstones things like that. I have a few characters and i try to play with them all. Its not easy though. and after a while it can get a bit boring but I haven’t gave up on talisman and I definitly can’t wait to see what this game is going to come out with next. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TALISMAN.
Oh and another thing I even got my mom hooked on this game.
